Award-winning event designer, Sasha Souza, shared her expertise at an intimate gathering of select brides at Dragon Ridge Country Club. After navigating the complex world of color selection for brides in attendance, Sasha walked attendees through one client’s wedding planning process, from the bride’s first inspiration board to the details of her under-the-sea wedding after-party that Sasha designed in a Napa Valley barn. Next, she opened the floor to questions.
“I can’t wait to hear the details about your weddings,” Sasha encouraged, inviting brides to ask away. “Give me your toughest questions, your biggest conundrums. Go ahead. I’ll solve them for you in ten minutes.”
Dragon Ridge bride, Robyn and her maid of honor, Noelle, who recently became a bride, herself, stepped up to the plate. “We’re both brides, but we’re here for Robyn, today,” stated Noelle. “Her groom is a fireman and she loves Disney, so we’re trying to figure out how to merge the two themes. Are we nuts?”
“This is fantastic!” exclaimed Sasha, as she tossed out example after example of exciting one-of-a-kind ways to make this bride’s vision a reality. “What’s important is that the wedding reflect what is important to you and your fiancé. Your design should be very personal – to you.”
Energized by all of Sasha’s ideas, Noelle surprised Robyn with a signed edition of Sasha’s book, Signature Sasha: Magnificent Weddings by Design, which has taken both wedding industry insiders and brides by storm.
Las Vegas Wedding Concierge, Tracey Kumer-Moore, who arranged Sasha’s Las Vegas visit, had something to add: “What I love most about what Sasha did tonight was that she validated that bride’s personal vision and encouraged her to stick with it – to create a real and personal experience for her guests. Sure, her wedding won’t be like anybody else’s, but as Sasha pointed out, it shouldn’t be.”
“There’s nothing I haven’t heard and no conundrum I haven’t been presented with,” said Sasha. “I love traveling and meeting brides, learning about their details and solving their problems on the spot. And that’s what we did tonight.”
