Lake of Silence
This photo was shot near the campus of LSU. Louisiana is one of my favorite states for many reasons. I spent the best days of my childhood here with my grandparents. The nature, the beautiful peacefulness, and of course my favorite thing, the gorgeous mallards, all take me back to a simpler time. This poem speaks of missed opportunities and fear that prevents us from being our most authentic selves. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Let me know how it makes you feel.
